From loyal fan to done. What are you doing, Arrowhead?
Look, Arrowhead, what the fuck is going on? I’m so done. I’ve been a loyal fan ever since this game popped off the charts. It’s been two years now I’ve been playing, and it’s been my main game. I’m not even level 150 yet, I’m like 120 or something, but I’ve got all my ship upgrades. I love this game. In fact, a big reason all my friends still play is because when they dropped off, I kept playing. They hop back on, we get the new warbond, and we have fun together. I’ve even encouraged them to buy Helldivers 1. We bought Gauntlet to play more Arrowhead games! But this crosses the fucking line.
I had so much fun at the start of the game. I’ll never forget when we got mechs how cool that was! And I don’t want to be gaslit. The issue isn’t that people don’t want to pay money. I’ve got a job. I can pay. It’s about where’s the fun? Where’s the reason to push? If we do this, mechs get a buff, or there’s some real progression. But now, what the fuck? I’ve just been playing because I love the game. If you’re going to act like this, we’re not going to be playing anymore. The lack of progression is ridiculous. Why am I even still playing? Today is warbond day, and all I want is to play. But I can’t in good conscience. I can’t support this. It’s ridiculous that you’re putting what used to be major world events behind a paywall. And it’s sad that not all Helldivers will get to experience it.
But then today, we get patch updates. Barley even a buff to the mechs, it’s a joke. You did nothing to keep the game interesting. In fact, you just made bugs harder and our stuff easier to kill. They’re already hard! I don’t get it. How am I supposed to encourage my friends to play when it feels like the community is getting shit on by the creators of the game? Unless I see major progression literally by next Tuesday’s update I’m done. I’ll take a long break and spend my money on something else. This is getting ridiculous.
