NHA licensing

Hello all!

First time poster... so I am a little nervous.

I am trying to get my NHA license in Iowa, but I'm not clear on the process. I looked it up on the website, even emailed the lady who does the licensing, but I guess it is still not clicking....

I thought the process was send them my transcript (I did), prove I did a practicum (I did, and the state lady said that the practicum I did through college was enough), do the application and pay the fee (I did), apply to take the exams/pay, study and then pass the exams, and the HSE certification (?) then I would have my license. But I guess that is not the process, and I am misunderstanding it.

If someone has a better understanding or has gone through it in Iowa or even in a different state that is like Iowa, that would be amazing, and I would be so appreciative of some more insight.
