Getting clicks felt good until I realized that nobody was signing up.
I had one of those small founder moments recently where something looks like progress at first, then kind of punches you in the face.
People were visiting my site. Not a crazy amount, but enough for me to feel like something was finally moving.
Then I checked signups almost nothing.
At first I thought maybe I just needed more traffic, but I don’t think that was the real issue. The problem was that people were curious enough to click, but not convinced enough to try it.
That’s a very different problem.
So I’ve been trying to fix the page less like a designer and more like a skeptical visitor.
If I land here, do I understand what this is in 5 seconds?
Do I trust it enough to try it?
Can I see what I’ll actually get before I sign up?
Does the first step feel easy, or does it feel like work?
The biggest change I’m making now is showing the output earlier. Not just saying “we analyze X,” but showing a simple example of what someone gets back.
I’m building Clyra AI, a tool for small YouTube creators who are stuck looking at analytics and don’t know what to fix next.
Still early, still figuring it out, but this has been the biggest lesson so far: traffic is nice, but belief is what converts.
For anyone else building right now, what helped you turn visitors into actual users?
