Is being an organizer in training THAT bad?

Other

I have an interview coming up with SEIU in socal (don’t want to say exact location) and I was super excited about the position but after reading personal reviews it seems like a huge risk. I want to do work that helps out working class families live and work in a better environment. I want to do something that matters.

I don’t really mind the irregular schedule and occasional weekends, but i’m getting the vibe that I’ll have no work-life balance at all. I’m all for extra effort for the cause, but I have a life too…

Is the rewarding feeling worth it? Or am I just bound to be “churned and burned”?
