Turbine links to Surveyor?

Has it been said if and how the Turbine links into the Surveyor at all?

And also, is the big spaceship type thing in the hurricane believed to be the Turbine?

It seems like they are trying to create a continuing story but not a lot seems to be explained that I have seen.
