Possible fix sound crackling (stuttering) in Bloodborne shadps4

Discussion

I just recently installed shadps4 to play Bloodborne. I was really annoyed by an audio issue—whenever the FPS dropped, the sound would stutter. I looked for different solutions and came across a discussion about audio issues on GitHub in the shadps4 thread. One person suggested this solution —

Press Win + R, type regedit, and press Enter.
Step 2 – Navigate to the Key
Go to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Multimedia\SystemProfile
Step 3 – Modify the Value
Find the key SystemResponsiveness (or the relevant timer key).
Double-click the key to edit it.
Switch the base to “Decimal” (important!).
Set the value to:

20
Click OK to save.
💡 Setting the value in decimal ensures Windows reads it correctly. This increases timer granularity for multimedia threads, helping SDL audio maintain a steady buffer.
Step 4 – Reboot

I tried it and it helped; things got much better. The sound still lags sometimes, but there’s no more of that annoying freezing.

Maybe this will be helpful to someone.

They also mention that this issue appeared in the new versions of shadps4, 0.15.0 or 0.15.1
