What do you check after a productivity workflow says it ran?

I keep getting fooled by the same thing.

A workflow says done. The log says done too. Then I check later and the real handoff never happened.

Maybe the task never showed up in the next app. Maybe the status changed but nothing useful actually moved.

What do you all use as the second check before you trust it? A separate alert? A destination check? Something else?
