How do i get an update on my Pistol Permit application

Hey all, it’s been a while now since I applied for my initial pistol permit (I have my FID already) I was just wondering is there an email or phone number I can reach out to to get an update on my application status? I know many people are probably gonna tell me to just contact my local police, but I don’t have any local police so im kind of confused on who to reach out to. Thank you guys
