Five Different Directions

Findapath-Job Choice/Clarity

Hello everyone :)

I’m 23f, graduated a year ago with history degree. Wanted to do military intel senior year but felt moral obligation to avoid this career path (I’m US).

So I’ve worked housekeeping and part time internships at non profits to keep bills paid and experience flowing at whatever rate I can.

I just feel generally directionless. People with more valuable degrees than me are struggling to find jobs.
I have applied to be a coast guard officer because I like the idea of doing humanitarian work and disaster relief, I am applying to a grad school program, I started ground school to get into airline piloting (ultimately decided against it). But nothing feels right.
Everything is growing too expensive, bills are piling up.
All I want to do is help people and travel but everything feels impossible.
It’s so difficult to maintain a positive attitude.
I wish I knew what the right thing to do is.
I’m also considering teaching English in a foreign country, trying to become a professor, enlisting in the coast guard first to get school paid for.

I just don’t know what is right, I’m growing tired of the uncertainty. How do I know what is the right path? Right now I feel like my direction in life is going to be based on whatever application I hear back from. Any advice appreciated :)

It’s nice to know I’m not alone, but it’s hard to not feel that way all the time.
