I'm feeling bad about Claude Quota!

Discussion

I decided to build a game for my kids, it is a simple game but I wanted to check how it will go when I build the same game in Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI (all of them at $20 plan) so I opened Claude Opus and created a detailed PRD, then got this PRD and opened Google Stitch and Claude Design to create the design for the game (it is a math game) - both designs were very close but the Google's Stitch one was more polish.

I took the design and the PRD and using Claude Opus I created a detailed tasks and sub-tasks - in each task there are details of what need to be done, which files should be created and updated, the modes etc... I'm a software engineer so I know how much deep in the details we went. BTW for each task we created a prompt, so all what I need is to copy-paste with references to files etc...

BTW - all of them have the same MCPs and Skills/Plugins.

Now the funny part, I didn't started with the implementation until the Claude's 5-hours limit reset. Then the fight started:
- Copy the prompt and paste it in Claude Code, Codex CLI and Gemini CLI using the following models:

  1. Claude Code: Sonnet 4.6 (medium effort)
  2. ChatGPT 5.5 medium
  3. Gemini 3 (the Auto mode in Gemini CLI)

After two tasks, Claude Code session is at 85%, Codex 19% and Gemini 8%. I thought that there maybe an issue with with Claude Code, so I waited about 4-hours so it will be reset to continue with the next tasks. After the reset, did 3 tasks, Claude 5-hours usage 105%, Codex 25% and Gemini 32%.

You will ask, okay but what's about the code quality? what's about the implementation? All of them did a great work! There where some times that Gemini and Codex did some errors and then fixed it after I added a screenshot and some details. Sometimes, Claude did bad assumptions and some bugs and it fixed them after I added the stacktrace/screenshots. So all of them had issues but in the end all of them did what each task asked to do and sticked to the same design I attached to each task.

I don't know why Claude quota is that bad, you can tell me, move to the Max plan ($100 or $200) - but if in Codex and Gemini I can have the same output and result but with $20 then why shall I buy $100-$200?

Did you have the same issue? tried to build the same app/service using the three or two AI providers and got the same experience?
