Seoul run crews — is the aesthetic layer actually part of the culture, or just what shows up on Instagram?

Discussion
Genuine question from someone mapping running communities globally.

Seoul's run scene looks different from every other city I've looked at.

The visual identity is extremely deliberate — matching kits, limited-edition crew merch, runs that look like photo shoots. And yet the same crews have serious performance arms (PRRC has a closed training group with strict entry standards). Members who do social evening runs also race 50K mountain ultras on weekends.

In most places I've looked at, style and performance exist in different crews. Seoul seems to have both in the same clubs.

Two interpretations:
1. The aesthetic is the entry point — the thing that attracts people, and the athletic culture is what keeps them
2. They genuinely developed in parallel and neither is the "real" thing

If you run in Seoul: which one is closer to true?
