Can someone explain to me about 4 Chan ?

I just recently found out about which is wild for how long it has existed. And I was so disappointed I tought it was this website where there were lots of topics and interesting stuff in it? BUT ALL I FOUND WAS FUCKING PORN ANIME! Like what the actual fuck and there were filled of homophones and racist people? There is this guy on YouTube who reads Reddit and 4chan posts and I always get so confused when I go on the sites and it’s nothing like that.
