I just released a scenario called "The Bail Jumper of St. Isidore" - Pay What You Wil
My self-promotion of the month (or more like year... I have not been online much in a while): I just released my second Call of Cthulhu scenario this week through the Miskatonic Repository on Drive Thru RPG.
It's titled "The Bail Jumper of St. Isidore" and can be picked up here: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/565398/the-bail-jumper-of-st-isidore
The basic details of the scenario are:
- It's set in 1920s New Brunswick in a fictional city and its suburbs called Salem Falls.
- The investigators are part of a detective agency on the verge of going broke.
- The mystery involves a missing occult artifact described as a "Turkish box", a missing person, one thief who ran away with the box, and a terrible other-wordly entity hunting said thief that needs to be put away by a complicated ritual.
- It's a standalone scenario or one that could fit into an existing campaign for a night's diversion.
- Should take between 2-5 hours depending on how focused your group is (mine went into many diversions lol).
- There's 34 pages of stuff in there - lots of setting, some colourful NPCs, a map, couple of encounters, a crazy spell, and other odds and ends of flavour text.
- The mystery is not very complicated, so it's prob suited for newer investigators (my test players were hardly experienced) but veterans can breeze through it and maybe have some fun decisions to make.
- The leadup hopefully has some slow burn mystery and dread with a fun climactic scene that has some potential for player character driven shenanigans. (my group got quite creative with the resolution... and a bit morally grey let's say)
I priced it at Pay What You Will but don't be shy to grab it for free (because honestly in this economy who has any spending money for themselves?) If you've got the dosh in pocket, feel free to purchase it (I gave the suggested price at $4.99 but don't feel like you need to even pay a cent - but if you do, cheers mate!)
My first scenario is also available at PWYW (The Mask of the Black Sun) and at some point in the future if I can improve my pace at releasing these, I'll try to merge them all into a proper campaign setting (wouldn't more free time be nice...).
