Does nausea peak at 12 weeks?

I’m 12 weeks pregnant and I feel like my nausea just suddenly hit me like a truck.

The first trimester was actually manageable for me — I had some nausea but nothing crazy. But now that I’ve hit 12 weeks, I’m vomiting at least once or twice a day, and it’s so much more intense.

Today at work I threw up my entire lunch… and to make it worse, I literally peed on myself while vomiting. I was so embarrassed I didn’t know what to do.

Is it normal for nausea to peak this late if it wasn’t bad before? And has anyone else experienced the whole “peeing while throwing up” situation?
