Imagine if he announced a spin-off manga set in Sukuna’s era, where we would see his childhood, adolescence, adult life, his battles, what that time period was like, comedic relief, and funny everyday moments from his life with Uraume.

And yes, even knowing that he is not defeated by anyone, it would still be incredible to see his epic battles, and we have to remember that he wasn’t born strong, he became strong over time.

We could see things like how, when he was born, he was rejected by his parents and his family, how he trained to become that strong, and some cool fights between Sukuna and other characters, especially the battle between Sukuna and the “Moon Squad, Star Squad, etc...”

As we know, sorcerers become stronger through real combat. 

Gojo gained most of his strength during his first real fight against Toji (he awakened RCT, CTR, Purple). Dabura gained RCT, CTR, and DE in his first real fight against Mahoraga.

So Sukuna likely became as strong as he is today through many difficult battles in the Heian era. 

It would be interesting to see a weaker Sukuna and how he truly became the Sukuna we know, not just in terms of power, but also philosophy.

Even though he was born with great potential, it would still be interesting to see him training, growing, improving, and becoming who he is today.

We could also learn more about extremely powerful sorcerers from that era, because I believe we haven’t met all of them yet.

As far as I remember, it was never clearly stated whether Kenjaku met and made contracts with all sorcerers to reincarnate them in the modern era, so there could be powerful ones who refused, meaning we don’t know them yet.

(I forgot to mention that we could also see Kenjaku as a deuteragonist.)

We can know that he defeated everyone and became the strongest, but seeing how he became that person would be interesting.

Yes, even a prequel set in the past could bring power-scaling “upscales,” but only if Gege actually shows new feats. 

If Heian-era sorcerers or Sukuna demonstrate abilities beyond what we’ve seen in the present timeline, that would naturally reframe current scaling. 

But if it’s mostly narrative focus without new high-end feats, the scaling wouldn’t really change much.

Yes, it’s very likely we could see more sorcerers from Sukuna’s era. In fact, that’s one of the biggest advantages of a Heian-era spin-off: 

it fills in the historical gap and lets us understand how that generation compared to the modern one.

Yes, it’s also very possible we could get entirely new sorcerers introduced who might realistically enter a “top 10 strongest” discussion. 

The Heian era is already implied to be one of the peak periods of jujutsu, so expanding it would almost certainly introduce monsters we haven’t seen yet.
