Update on flatmates/deposit dispute

First of all, Thank you so much to everyone for the supportive comments, advice, and DMs. Reading your messages really made me feel better and a lot less alone in this situation. It truly means a lot.* ❤️

A lot has happened since I posted this, so I wanted to give a quick update: I wasn’t able to handle all of this alone so I took help of a colleague who is settled in Bangalore since more than a decade. I told her the entire situation and she was as shocked and concerned as all of you in the comments. She agreed to handle the situation herself along with her husband. Her husband talked to the owner and asked for the money and my things that were locked. He agreed to intervene and said that he would talk to the replacement to pay deposit to me directly and not to the bitches and also promised that I would get my money back as soon as the replacement moves in on 28th(today).

On 26th, the colleague and her husband came with me to the flat to pack my things and to tackle the bitches. That day as well, the bitches fought, shouted and tried to act like owners of the house but they handled the matter well.

The bitches tried to use derogatory language with my colleague like “Ap hote kon ho iske guardian banne wale, waise hi guardian ho kya jaise ye uss ladke ko bhai bana ke laayi thi, bhai tha, boyfriend tha pata nhi kon tha” and also immature stuff like “mai ye kar dungi wo kar dungi”

We went with just one motive- to get my things and get the deposit directly to my account from the replacement but the bitches remained adamant that they would take the deposit from the replacement. We called the owner then and there and explained him what was happening and that we would be escalating the matter if they continue with their behaviour. My colleague put the phone on speaker and asked him to tell the bitches that the replacement would directly pay to me and to my surprise, he flipped, he flipped and told the bitches it’s okay if you take the money in your account. I was shocked! My colleague’s husband told the owner that if I do not get the money on 28th, we will definitely be filing a police complaint against him and the bitches.

I took all my stuff, kept my phone recorder on while they were shouting and told them that if money is not returned, we will be filing a police complaint with all proofs.

Now today, the replacement paid the deposit to one of those bitched and they paid me 48.5k and messaged in the group that the rest of the amount will be used for cleaning purposes. I asked what all will be cleaned in 1500 so just like school going kids, they removed me from the group 😂

I sent a text to them personally that please use 1500 to get your brains cleaned and they sent me this text: “Ye roadside harkatein apne or apni alleged family k liye rkh..

Get some patience for urself and ur alleged family jisko sirf trouble Krna aata dusro k doorstep pe aake..itne velle hai toh ask them to get some real stuff.

pta nhi kounse naale se aajate hai gandgi failane..”

I am just glad that I got the big amount back and very grateful to all the people who helped 🥹🙏🏻
