Question for those on high doses 16+

I have a question for people taking high doses of buprenorphine. When I started in treatment I started with 2 mg doses until the withdrawal went away. Got up to 6 mg and that was my starting dose. Within a couple months I quickly tapered down to 3 mg some days less. I’m just wondering at such a high dose do you feel blunted or have an increase in side effects? For me personally I feel like if I took such a high dose I would be so sedated and out of it. I see a lot of people taking as high as 24 mg daily and that’s crazy to me. I thought the higher doses were to initially to get off the opiates and then you find your daily dose in the coming weeks. At least that’s how my treatment center did things 8 years ago when I got off drugs. Thank you to anyone willing to share their experience and satiate my curiosity.
