After 11 years abroad, my father decided to visit Syria… a short visit to see his family and then return.

But the shock came the moment he arrived at the airport.

They informed him that he had a case against him dating back to 2020, and that he needed to report to the public prosecutor's office. When he arrived, he discovered that the case was far from simple… a 10-year prison sentence for kidnapping and demanding a ransom, along with other individuals.

What's worse, all his information matched: his name, his mother's name, his date of birth… it wasn't just a case of mistaken identity.

He contacted the person who had filed the claim, and the biggest shock was that the claimant himself was surprised and said he didn't know him.

We are currently in a state of shock, trying to understand what to do and what the next step is.
