[Complete] [94,000] [Weird-Girl Lit] Dreaming in Binary

90k

Imagine a world where you can wake up and play back the dreams from the night before. Imagine a world ordered by statistics and algorithms, where it's possible to mathematically calculate the future using only these snippets of dreams. Miranda, an unemployed, recovering alcoholic, enters this world by taking a job at her boyfriend's dream tech company, where she's forced to confront the frailties inherent in her relationship and her psyche.

Comps: "Several People Are Typing" by Calvin Kasulke, for the humor and structure of chat rooms. "A Good Person" by Kirstin King, for the unhinged woman.

Sample 1st Chapter (will share the full manuscript if you're down to betaread!): https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zxJmNwpS7V2V6UoViCrRyLrJZaqNCSb1yJINfCo0_G0/edit?usp=sharing

Content Warnings: sexual abuse (not discussed in detail, but referenced); mental illness; alcoholism

Type of Feedback Requested: I'd love to know if the humor is landing. I also want to know if Miranda's unravelling makes sense, given the circumstances. I'd appreciate if you could sum up your thoughts after each chapter, highlighting what works and what can be improved. I'd love to know what you liked and didn't like.
