Help figuring out how to leave family plan?

Long story short, I (adult) am on a Verizon plan with a family member who is the main account holder. I have asked repeatedly, for years, to leave the plan. They would not let me. I’m now needing to fully separate from this person for safety reasons.

Ideally I would like to port my number to a different carrier (or at minimum my own plan) as I’ve had it for so long. I have the account login, but I’m worried that it doesn’t matter since MFA will be tied to their info.

Does anyone know of a way I can leave the family plan and keep my number without the main account holder’s involvement? Or am I stuck with getting a new number?
