Should I study now or later?

Hi!

Just wanted to get some advice from you guys who have taken the CPA exam already.

I am currently in the process of applying for the CPA Exam (Domestic Evaluation) and I heard it will take 6-8 weeks before I hear back.

Planning to take FAR first if ever. Do you think I should start studying now or wait until I hear back?
