Can someone clarify this for me regarding character dupes/Awakening?

So I’ve heard that in NTE, if you get just ONE additional copy of a character (think C1 Nanaly), then you can immediately choose which Awakening you want to enable.

So if you get just ONE dupe of Nanaly, you can choose to enable her 6th Awakening full stop. Can anyone confirm if that is true or not?
