The US peptide conversation breaks at the Atlantic. Welcome to EuroPeptide πͺπΊ
3 things Americans get wrong about peptides in Europe, and why we built this sub:
#1 The FDA crackdown panic doesn't translate.
Americans are freaking out about compounding pharmacy bans. The EU has 27 different regulatory regimes, each with its own enforcement posture.
2. The "test every batch" obsession is a US cultural import, not a quality-control practice.
About half a dozen Chinese factories produce most retail peptides via solid-phase synthesis. Those batches get tested thousands of times by buyers globally. Insisting on testing your own batch is a US individualist instinct mapped onto a supply chain that's already concentrated and crowd-monitored. The crowd-tested model exists. Use it.
3. The EU isn't outside the regulatory net - it's between 27 of them.
That's worse, not better. Gray zone, arbitrary enforcement, country-specific seizure rates, no consistent recourse. "EU operator" is a fiction. There are FR operators, DE operators, CH operators β each with their own playbook.

What this sub is for:
- Magistral compounding routes by country (CH, DE, NL, AT)
- Customs reality (DE / NL / FR / SE / UK β seizure rates and recovery experiences)
- Vendor verification approaches (testing labs, COA realities β without naming peptide vendors)
- Harm reduction (cycle protocol design, lab work, side-effect tracking)
- Regulatory tracking as ANSM / BfArM / Swissmedic / MEB / MHRA actions move
What this sub isn't:
- Sourcing requests
- DM-for-sources networks
- Generic biohacker content

Opening question to set the tone: what's the most wrong thing you've read about EU peptide regulation in the last 6 months? Bonus points if it was upvoted.
