Glowing evals from attendings but one resident just does not like me–advice?
I'm not losing my mind over this, but I am looking for some reassurance if that's appropriate. Just finished up my general surgery rotation and it totally solidified my interest. Attendings gave me great feedback, one even told me, "we will take you here if you apply. i love working with you!" mid case. Others are putting me on research projects with them, engaging with me all the time + telling me I'm "better than 90% of med students in the OR"???? Anyway, I had a stellar rotation and I'm quite grateful for it.
HOWEVER–there is one resident who does not like me. We have a big time personality mismatch and when asking for feedback she didn't really have anything nice to say. She is a 6th year + leaving soon so doesn't really affect me much, but I want advice on how to navigate someone who doesn't like you in a sea of people that believe in you. It doesn't matter, RIGHT?
Sorry if I sound nuts. Thanks.
