Fiancé hasn’t contributed to wedding
Hi All! I’m feeling a little frustrated because the entirety of our wedding planning has been completed by myself including paying for everything (with some help from both sides parents). I’m constantly having family members bring up the fact that my fiancé should be contributing at least to some decisions/or financially yet every time I bring anything up, he thinks it’s too expensive so unless I pay for it myself nothing would get done. Backstory, he didn’t really want a reception but did want to get married in the church. Recently I just went through the selections for readings , the program ect for our ceremony and mentioned that I did this but would love to hear his input too, but he just mentioned that he knows that I have both our best interests at heart, so he trusted my choices. I was honestly surprised given that he was the one that wanted the wedding in the church that he didn’t really care which selections I picked. I’m feeling pretty disappointed at this point that I’ve had to pay for and do all planning for our wedding since he hasn’t really been involved with any of the details and gets freaked out when I mention costs for things which is why I’ve stopped mentioning that to him. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Just wondering if this is pretty typical for guys not to care about anything wedding related or were your guys more involved?
