I feel like all of my effort is pointless
I’ve been applying to jobs for over a year. I have two bs degrees. I’m hoping to go to graduate school soon too. I have applied for roles for either one of my bachelors and don’t get interviews. I have applied for research roles and don’t get interviews. I have applied for positions that require an associates or no degree and don’t get interviews. I applied for medical receptionist positions, was told I’ll see an offer, and then get ghosted even after sending three follow up emails over two weeks.
My current work environment is toxic and I want out. It’s making me so incredibly depressed. I can’t seem to get anything else. No matter if I am over qualified or meet all of their preferred qualifications. Just rejection after rejection. Half the time I don’t even get interviews. I think I’ve only made it to interviews like 4 times in the last year. I have 8 years of customer experience. 5 in healthcare and laboratory.
I don’t know what to do anymore. I’ve been told my resume is “good,” my cover letters are “good,” I interview “well,” but nothing. I don’t know what else I could possibly do. I can’t stay in my current job much longer. I can’t be unemployed. I can’t get a new job.
Jobs only offer like $20/hr too. My current job is trying to cut our pay range. How do people survive I don’t know what else to do. I’ve spent hours applying. Editing my resume. Writing cover letters. Contacting references. For nothing.
Sorry for ranting I’m just so sad lol
