"SNL hasn't been good since 19xx or 20xx" How do you respond to people who trash the show despite not watching it it 20 or so years?

I feel like hating on SNL is just a thing people do because they see other people doing it. How do you deal with these idiots who shit on the show and just love to romanticize the era they liked, which almost always coincides with their youth?
