How do you do the ‘forehand backhand’ deke?
I’m pretty new to HUT and have been watching videos trying to learn. I’ve gotten the hang of a few things, but this move keeps being mentioned with no real explanation of how to physically execute it on your controller. When I try it myself in practice mode I find the puck barely moves, or the goalie doesn’t bite and makes the save easily. I have a few questions I hope will clarify whatever i’m missing. Any additional advice outside my questions is also appreciated, thanks.
-
do you stop skating and enter glide animation before doing the move
-
is forehand backhand vs backhand forehand dependant on which way the player shoots, which side of the net you’re on or both
-
is it actually helpful to hold r2 while doing the move(something about changes the animation?)
-
How close to the net do you start to preform the
move
-
How long do you hold the puck on the first side? Do you go instantly back and forth
-
How do you incorporate left stick movement during the deke, if at all
