Any Advice on Going Back to Work?

My dad has been sick for almost a year. He lives in California and I live in Florida. I am an only child and his only living family so I’ve been going back-and-forth across the country as much as I can. I’ve been doing my best to work, which luckily is remote, but it is so incredibly hard to concentrate and to take care of my dad and also try to treasure the time. My work performance has absolutely suffered. I fully support myself and can’t not have income, of course like most. I’ve been working sparingly these past few days since he is mostly asleep, but I remain sitting by his side and speaking to him. I’ve already burned though most of my time “off” so once he passes, which could be any day now, I won’t have additional time to grieve and process. Any advice on maintaining a career when all you want to do is cruel into a ball and sob and scream?
