It feels way to clunky. With greninja, you get your frog up and going and that’s that. 20 damage per turn anywhere on the board, beautiful. Works beautifully with Cyrus, etc etc I’m not going to harp on it much, we know what the frog does by now.

Now the LIZARD. The damn spy lizard, whose child was given a cherished immersive slot this set. Not only do you need to run two more cards (parasol supporter) to make it work “optimally” but there are caveats. First off once you play sobble from your hand, you have to wait a turn to evolve it. That’s standard, froakie is in the same boat so it gets a pass. But what doesn’t get a pass is once you scoop it up with parasol, you have to wait again. And when it’s drizzile, you have to wait again, and again again when you finish scooping it up the first time. And drizzile is doing the same amount of damage as Greninja, and can only hit the active…

Clunky :/

Okay but good news, inteleon is here! Now this is a major upgrade, this is what we’ve been waiting for, your inteleon upon evolving is doing a whopping….30 damage. To the active spot. Cyrus is weeping in the corner. So you’ve waited 3 turns to do 50 damage with its ability. Now you can use your parasol lady, call it back, start the cycle again. The cycle that is producing 50 damage after three turns… yea.

So if your opponent decides to not heal, not switch out, and not run a mega which can basically survive most of this anyway for 6 turns with everything going your way, you’d be dealing 200 damage. Sounds like a lot, but spread across 6 turns is that really worthwhile over hmmm let’s see, greninja doing the same amount of damage over the same amount of turns with the added perk of hitting the bench and holding hands with his best friend Cyrus winning games together?

Now commenter, I can hear your typing from here, “Well if you use inteleon strictly on the bench you’re running an active mon like suicune and launching piss jets dealing x amount as well” and my dear friend that’s right, you are attacking while all this is happening that is true. But… you’re also attacking the same way with greninja on your bench too.

So, I ask you, what am I missing here, if anything? Do you agree? Disagree? Let me know what you think of Inteleon and any combinations I might not be thinking of.

I attached the deck I tried using, give it a whirl yourself and see if you can improve on it.

Inteleon: Greninja’s loser cousin
