Filing by joint petition in California.

Hello all,

I am filing for divorce by joint petition in California and neither of us want a lawyer. We are amicable and already agreeing on a number of major things. I’m curious if anybody here has at least a basic guideline of what steps and paperwork will be necessary. The petition will be getting filed tomorrow morning.

We agree on the division of assets and debts. There may be spousal support but we’d rather not get the court involved and simply discuss and agree on a number and term for that. There are no major shared assets (I.e. no real estate, both cars are owned outright but we agree who gets what) and no kids.
