2 weeks, 0 views on Shorts — need real advice before I waste 2–3 months
I started a YouTube channel recently and went all-in on Shorts. I’ve been posting consistently for 2 weeks now — 2 Shorts every day — but literally every single video has 0 views.
My current content is AI-generated motivational clips (yeah, I know… probably “slop”), but I thought consistency + volume would at least get some impressions. Nothing so far.
My plan was:
- Grind Shorts for 2–3 months
- Build some initial traction/subscribers
- Then switch into long-form commentary videos (mainly self-improvement content)
But right now I’m questioning everything:
- Is my content just too low quality for the algorithm to even test?
- Am I doing something fundamentally wrong with uploads/format?
- Or is this normal early-stage and I just need to keep going?
I’m not looking for generic “just be consistent” advice — I’m already doing that. I want practical insights from people who’ve actually grown a channel:
- What should I change immediately?
- Should I ditch AI content and start making original stuff now?
- Any specific Shorts strategies that actually work in 2026?
I’m ready to commit for the next 2–3 months seriously, but I don’t want to grind in the wrong direction.
Appreciate any real advice 🙏
