New Method to Commute to Work!
This past weekend I was reading up on why the population of Japan has such long life expectancy despite a horrible work life balance. The primary factors seem to be their commute to work being primarily walking, stretching at work, and the concept of Hara Hachi Bu (only eat u til you’re 80% full).
I love the Hara Hachi Bu mentality and have started incorporating it into my approach to food.
The new workout routine I started today:
I live in an urban sprawl so I found a public park about 1.1 miles from my work and I parked there and ran to work and will run back to my truck afterwards. I would like to do this every weekday.
I have a one year old and have very little time to dedicate to exercise outside of work and caring for my son (wife is working on her PhD and often has obligations when I’m not at work).
I’m hoping by incorporating Hara Hachi Bu and this new commuting will help me lost weight, get back in shape, and ultimately lead to a long healthy life.
If you have any ideas to sneak in extra exercise or suggestions to help I’m all ears!
