- 11-month agreement expired, continued month-to-month
- No written notice of rent hike/guest penalties
- Landlord now deducting:
- painting charges despite continued occupancy by flatmate
- retroactive rent increase
- guest/partner penalty never agreed to
- Asking: “Are these deductions legal under Indian tenancy law, and what are my options to recover my deposit?”
