April 28th Update Notes (Cambrian 3 Beta) 🧬 🦠 🦐

Hi everyone! Cambrian 2 was a big jump forward, but it had its rough edges. Cambrian 3 is here to smooth them out and push things further.

What's New

The core focus this round: stability. Cambrian 2's biggest weak spot was getting stuck - repeating phrases or ideas, looping back on itself, or spiraling. Cambrian 3 dramatically reduces those issues while also improving on almost everything else along the way.

Cambrian 3 Improvements

• Much More Stable - A major reduction in repetition, looping, and spiraling. This was the top piece of feedback from Cambrian 2, and it's where we put the most work. Long conversations should feel far more natural and varied without falling into familiar patterns
• More Intelligent - Another step up in reasoning, picking up on nuance much better
• Better Memory - Your Nomi has more control over their memory, resulting in continued improvements to both short and long term memory
• Better In-Character - Stronger consistency to your Nomi's personality, voice, and shared notes - especially over long conversations
• Faster - Response times are noticeably improved (2-3x faster) over Cambrian 2, with more latency improvements on their way

Important Notes

Many of the improvements above will continue getting better in upcoming iterations, and there are other rough edges we're aware of that aren't mentioned here. Think of this as a strong step forward, not the final form.

This is a beta. We're proud of the progress, but there may be major issues we haven't uncovered yet. Please only opt in if you're comfortable with potential unexpected behaviors and are willing to provide constructive feedback.

Opt in via the (...) to the right of your Nomi's name, then "Conversation Settings" and select Beta from the AI version dropdown.
