Anyone with a large chest (DDD+) get a lollipop reduction? Need honest experiences
Hi everyone,
I’m currently consulting for a breast reduction and wanted to get real experiences from people in a similar situation.
I’m around a 36 DDD (Victoria’s Secret sizing, but honestly I feel bigger), and my chest is quite heavy with most of the fullness at the bottom -pretty flat on top-. My sternal notch to nipple distance is about 35 cm, so there’s quite a bit of sagging.
My surgeon only performs the lollipop (vertical) technique, and I’m a bit concerned whether that’s the best option for my size and shape.
For context, my surgeon is pretty specialized — he has a master’s in breast reduction and a strong background in reconstructive surgery. He’s worked on reconstruction cases for soldiers, so he’s definitely experienced with more complex cases. That’s why I’m trying to understand if this is a solid approach or if there are limitations with this technique.
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone with:
- A larger chest (DDD or bigger)
- Similar shape (bottom-heavy / not much upper fullness)
- Longer SN–N distance like mine
Specifically:
- How were your results with the lollipop technique?
- Did you feel like the size reduction was enough?
- Did your breasts still look too big or bottom-heavy after?
- Was nipple placement an issue (too high, unnatural, etc.)?
- Did you end up needing a revision?
I’m just trying to understand if this technique works well for cases like mine, or if I should be concerned.
Would really appreciate honest feedback 🙏🏻
