Tapo C840 baby camera stops streaming to ask if we want to continue watching, leaves baby unmonitored
Hi, I’m having an issue with my Tapo C840 baby camera.
Occasionally, the app will randomly ask if we want to continue streaming. Of course we do - it’s a bloody baby monitor! When this happens, there’s no sound or alert to wake us up and turn it back on, meaning the baby is unmonitored. (Which kind of defeats the entire point of the product.)
This has happened a few times, but fortunately until last night our baby had been sleeping with no problems. However, it did this last night and we were eventually woken by the sound of our baby screaming. The cloud showed that he’d been crying for 40 minutes before it escalated to a sound loud enough for us to hear. (Our house is old and the internal walls are brick.) It was gut wrenching watching this on the cloud.
The app was so busy showing us a big blue button asking if we’d like to continue watching, that it didn’t tell us our baby needed us. (Despite registering and recording multiple baby cries on the cloud.)
This is honestly an insane (and dangerous) feature to have in a baby camera! Is there any way to disable this?!
Many thanks for any help on this!
