Confused and sad about decision

Okay so, i met my gf junior year of high school and now we are sophomores in college. We love eachother a lot. She wants to get on birth control, but I have read multiple cases where the girls lose attraction to their partner physically and emotionally when they get off it (or while?) She was not on the pill when she met me and it’s been 4 years. Can you guys share similar experiences and the outcomes:) Thanks!
