First Watch: Bleach, Bount Arc IT'S FINALLY OVER

While I enjoy this show a lot, I definitely see why the Bount filler Arc is hated the way it is. It makes all the Captains of Soul Society seem incompetent & clueless. The Bounts are lame & can't fight really; basically Pokémon trainers with their Doll as the only member of their party who just stand there during battle. I lost count of how many times they could have taken them out while they were monologuing. Kariya's wind 'power' is lame & basically just another way of saying 'hey, he's strong'. He's a boring cookie-cutter villain. The visuals of him fighting soul reapers barehanded while they use swords & his 'wind hands' are protecting him looks ridiculous. Ichigo in Bankai mode should not be able to be stopped by WIND at all. The fact that they hide the Bounts & don't just send a Captain to each one to end them is all the proof you need this is a filler Arc. They clearly nerfed the captains for the sake of this arc which is what bothered me the most. Byakuya struggling against Kariya is ridiculous after what I just saw in the Soul Society Arc. Kenpachi could have solo'ed every Bount but that wouldn't stretch out the Arc enough, I get it I get it, but it's dumb. The final 1v1 fights for The Bount crew members were good I can admit. The pattern of 'fight, heal with Reishi, hide' & repeat made the pace grueling. Koga's the only Bount with any redeemable qualities. Whoever wrote this arc clearly loves Ishida, who was hyped up for several episodes just to fail & leave Ichigo to finish the job. And even in the end, the FINAL battle, the final blow, Kariya just... vanishes? I wanted his head! Woof. I considered skipping the Arc but had to follow my 'watch it all on first watch' rule. I'm just glad its over. Lets get back to Aizen & fox face, I'm ready to see what happens there. Also, them speaking German when they do their chants is just... because? Maybe it was different in the English dub, either way good riddance Bount Arc. Sorry I rambled like Kariya mid-fight.
