Movies or series where they subtle show you the character has died?

I just watched Clerks 3 and the moment Dantes watches the movie from a theater I started crying, he was death.

There's another one that hit me hard and surprized me but I can remember right now, so another similar sequence was in E.R, where Doctor Green is talking while receiving brain surgery, and while he is talking, they put a park scene. And then a memory (oh, now I remember the one that broke me).... so I was young maybe 10yo, and I understood, Doctor Green has died.

I remember now, in Halt and Catch Fire, Gordon dies and he is front of a mirror at night, then Donna his ex wife pass by, he followed her, and there's a lens flare.
Every scene has a lens flare, and it goes back and back till he saw her in a room holding their first baby.

I ugly cried (and I ugly cry right now after finding the scene in YT).
