My mk 2 early screening thoughts and summary

Hey everyone. I’ve responded to a ton of questions so I just wanted to make a new post of what I thought of the film.

Overall it is a much better film than the first one. Which everyone seems to agree on, it isn’t perfect by any means and I’m gonna list all the negatives I can think of but again these are just MY OPINIONS.

Positives- fight scenes are much better choreographed this time around

Favorite fights

1. King Jerrod

2. Sindel and Sonya

3. Liu vs Lao

4. Johnny vs Baraka

5. Scorp vs boob

6. Shao vs Kitana

I also felt like the dialogue was much better for the characters. Johnny is hilarious and of course Kano. But Johnny was also serious when needed to be. Baraka was awesome n hilarious too and shao had some pretty badass lines

Comedy landed well this time too. Stro yflowed well and I felt the pacing was better.

Negatives- some decisions I kindof don’t agree with like quan chi and Shang kindof being sidelined and not doing too much, raiden not doing much once again, kindof wish scorpion and prob had more screen time. Felt like it was less than last movie. And I felt like a little more 1v1 fights like specifically noob n scorpion should’ve been 1v1 whole time.

I know some people won’t like some decisions on the deaths etc and I do feel like it ends a little weird with certain deaths but overall as a film it was much better so I was happy!
