Best way to use around 100k Chase points
Hey everyone, looking for some quick advice on the best way to use about 100k Chase Ultimate Rewards points for a trip this fall.
Trip would be for my girlfriend and I (mid 20s) flying out of Kansas City. We are looking for 4 to 5 nights somewhere for a getaway. Beach is preferred but open to anything.
I want to keep the hotel under about 120k points total. I am fine paying cash for flights and would be willing to spend around 1000 to 1500 out of pocket total. Open to transferring to Hyatt or other partners.
Here are a couple options I have found so far
Option 1 Cancun
Hyatt Vivid Grand Island around 25k per night so about 100k points for 4 nights
Flights on United - around 350 to 400 round trip per person
Option 2 Puerto Rico
Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve around 22k to 25k per night so about 90k to 100k for 4 nights
Flights on American - around 300 to 400 round trip per person
Cancun seems like better pure value with all inclusive, Puerto Rico seems like a better mix of relaxing and activities.
Main goal is a fun trip with a good mix of relaxing and things to do. Does not need to be super luxurious, just solid value and a good experience.
Open to any better redemptions or ideas I might be missing. Also curious if people think all inclusive is worth it on points vs booking a normal Hyatt and paying for food.
