Is it just me, or did the game suddenly get harder?
I'm on Ascension 9 with the Regent, so it's a real struggle against death. I figured, okay, I'll relax with the other characters. The Silent is a great character, one I completed in the previous game, and he's only in Ascension 2.
I got absolutely destroyed. I didn't get as far as I did with the Regent in Ascension 9. The damage from dagger bombardment was never enough, and the armor never seemed to absorb everything, especially with a class that excels in defense.
I played four games in a row, the furthest I got was Act 2, and honestly, Ascension 9 felt even fairer after just finishing a marathon.
The only thing I can think of is that there's a bug or something that's throwing enemies at me in Ascension 9 with The Silent, but having three potion slots makes me think, "GIT GUD." But honestly, I don't consider myself a bad player if I got all the achievements in the previous game, and it's my kind of game.
And for God's sake, stabbing at least 4-10 daggers per turn and feeling like there's not enough damage, it messed with my mind, and I'm going to sleep like a loser for dying in Ascension 2, 4 times in a row.
