Two non-ideal options for plugging in heated mattress pad (plus bonus third non-ideal option)

I have this heated mattress pad, but the bed's headboard is too close to the outlet to plug it in directly. So right now the two options are this "heavy duty" surge protector or this outlet extender (the mattress pad is just a two-prong plug so I'm not worried about that outlet extender bypassing the ground - right?). Of course the mattress pad's instructions say to plug it directly into the wall, but I've read enough on this sub saying that's basically just an anti-idiot precaution (but am I the idiot?) and it's usually fine as long as the total load doesn't exceed the weakest link. But I'm also seeing some conflicting info, since it's going to be drawing continuously, that that might make it unsafe even if it's well within the amperage, which it is.

The mattress pad is supposedly 150 watts (according to a seller answer on Amazon, there's no info in the product listings and I can't find the manual). No amperage info but I submitted that question so hopefully I'll get an answer soon.

The outlet extender is rated for 15 A, and it would only have this mattress pad plugged in (the only reason for it is because it has an outlet on the side, so I could plug this in and the headboard would still be able to fit against it).

The surge protector has a bunch of other stuff plugged in, but nothing above 1.5 A, and nothing continuous aside from an air purifier.

Would either/both of these be a safe option? Third option is I could just remove the bed's headboard, but I'd like to find a way to make it work if possible.

TIA!
