My client asked for a website "like Apple's." I used an AI builder. Here's how that went.

The thing is: it didn't look like Apple's.

The AI gave me a perfectly fine, clean, professional site. My client looked at it and said "can we make it more minimal?" I removed things. "Can we add some more information?" I added things back.

Six revisions later it looked exactly like the first version except the hero image was different.

I don't think this is a tool problem, honestly. The AI builder saved me hours compared to building from scratch. The real time sink was the client feedback loop and no amount of AI is going to fix that.

Anyone else find that AI builders have actually made client communication more complicated because now the client thinks everything should be instant?
