cat suddenly scared and hiding?

my cat suddenly got scared of my living room and won’t act normal, i’m kinda freaking out

so basically everything was completely normal and then out of nowhere my cat got scared of the living room. like nothing changed. no new furniture, no new smells (at least that i can tell), no shadows, no noises that i can hear. but she started acting like something is there

she was staring into the living room like she didn’t recognize it and her tail would drop immediately. she kept sniffing everything like she’s never been there before. she would look at the area and get scared again

she started hiding in my bedroom (under clothes, small corner) and didn’t want to come out much. she still eats though, and she even did a puzzle feeder which makes me feel like she’s not sick?

i got really worried because she wouldn’t use the litter box. so

i eventually put her in the bathroom with the litter box and she did pee after 10 mins, so she can go, she just wasn’t

after that i gave her a churu and she came out and sat on the couch with me for like 20 minutes, but then went back to being cautious again. now she just sits at the edge of the room and stares into the living room like something’s wrong

she’s not lethargic, she’s eating, she reacts to things, but she just seems… scared of that one area and i have no idea why

i’m scared that if i don’t figure out what she’s scared of she’ll just never go back to normal or never leave my room again

has anyone had this happen?? like their cat suddenly acting like a familiar space is completely new or unsafe for no reason

i just don’t know how to help her if i can’t even tell what the problem is 😭
