Marc Marquez says Ducati “can't do more” amid Struggles (Jerez Test 2026)

Despite victory at the Spanish GP 2026 through Alex Márquez and Gresini Racing, it was a difficult weekend for the factory Ducati squad. Both Marc Marquez and Pecco Bagnaia failed to finish the race after struggling throughout the weekend.

In response, Ducati arrived at the official test at Jerez with a significant package of updates, including revised aerodynamic components and a swingarm modification aimed at improving stability and traction.

Marc Marquez welcomed the effort from the engineers, emphasizing that the manufacturer is already operating at maximum capacity despite the current difficulties.

As Marquez said.

"Ducati is working incredibly hard. It is impossile to do more that this. As you saw, we had a lof of parts to test during this session. This makes me happy because it was a demanding but interesting test. Last year we had a base setup that allowed all the Ducati's to win.

This year we are struggling a bit more but that is precisely why I am seeing all the potential that Ducati has. Now we need to carefully evaluate all the parts we tested and figure out when to introduce these new updates. In three weeks after two races, we'll have another test in Barcelona."
