New gen colleges are sht then why are the students doing so good?

I have seen many people online criticize the new gen colleges calling them a scam, I get that it's not a good option for someone to join a new gen college instead of a reputed college but what if the only option u have are tier 3 colleges?

The students at some XYZ new gen college are getting internships and winning hackathon in their 2nd year. And imo 200 students getting an internship out of 300 is far better than those 90%+ placement rates that the pvt colleges advertise, not considering the fact of mass hiring and people going into consultancy etc and being underpaid for their skills

And since the batch size in these new gen colleges are so small I feel like they have to focus on their students or otherwise they won't have shit to advertise
