The correlation between the gloves of the trainee and the Completely Normal Spell (Trickster)

Gloves from a trainee do extra damage to cantrip and level 1 orders.

Completely Normal Spell in Trickster Mythic Path lowers the order level by one level.

So I applied Completely Normal Spell to the 2nd level blazing ray to make the order level 1. And I tried.

But in the damage figures, there was no effect on the gloves of the trainee.

But it applied to all other level 1 orders.

Did I do something wrong or am I supposed to not?
