PSA: your bank points can be transferred to Velocity and used for flights to 500+ destinations
Not sure who needs this, but if you’ve got a credit card with a major Aussie bank, your points might be doing more than just sitting there

You can transfer your credit card points to Velocity Frequent Flyer and use them for flights, instead of letting them just build up.
TL;DR:
- You can transfer points from 50+ eligible cards
- You could set up Auto Transfer with some banks to set and forget
- Use them for flights to 500+ destinations worldwide
So, how does it actually work?
If you’re already earning points through your credit card, you don’t have to change anything. You can transfer those points across to Velocity from 50+ eligible credit cards from participating bank partners and start building up a balance for flights instead.* Some banks even let you switch on Auto Transfer, so your points move across automatically.
What can you actually use the Points for?
You can use Velocity Points to book flights across 500+ destinations with Virgin Australia and partner airlines, with Reward Seats starting from 5,900 Velocity Points (plus taxes, fees and carrier charges)^(^). That could be a quick Melbourne to Sydney trip, a Bali getaway, or something longer-haul like LA or Tokyo, depending on your points balance.^(*)
You can also use them to book your next hotel, car hire, or activities and tours. Or, if you’re not looking for a holiday right now, you can redeem your Velocity Points on gift cards and shopping.^(*)
